"We hired Sheldon to convert the old closet in our living room into a custom fireplace surround, made complicated by the fact that we wanted the original 1902 crown molding to remain intact. Sheldon worked with us to customize the design around the existing closet footprint and our selected gas fireplace, listened to our likes and dislikes, and iterated along the way. The age of the house presented some challenges, but Sheldon masterfully worked around them. The end result – complete with wood-framed glass shelving, a stone façade, and a marble hearth – far exceeded our expectations.
